Email follow-up sequence for small business

You do not need a marketing platform to stop losing enquiries. You need a short, repeatable email sequence that runs while you are on site or in meetings.

What a good sequence looks like

  1. Touch 1 (minutes) - thank them, one question, plain text. Proves a human business is on the other end.
  2. Touch 2 (~2 days) - gentle bump; offer a single reply path (e.g. “reply YES for an outline”).
  3. Touch 3 (~5 days) - close the loop; no guilt, door left open.

That rhythm works for form leads, DMs turned into email, and “call me back” requests you log in a Google Sheet. Quotes need a parallel track - see the day 2 / 5 / 10 quote chase.

Why automate with n8n

Spreadsheets and reminders fail when you get busy. n8n holds the timing: webhook in → wait nodes → email out. You keep the copy; the workflow keeps the cadence.
